For the first time ever , a home envelope was added to the bonus wheel giving all contestants who appeared during “ Home Sweet Home ” week the opportunity to win a new home at Latitude Margaritaville . On April 27th , Laura Trammell of Mission Viejo , California became the first contestant to ever win a brand-new home on Wheel of Fortune .
For the third season , Wheel watchers had the opportunity to win a new home with the “ Home Sweet Home Giveaway .” Viewers were able to enter the giveaway by tuning in to Wheel of Fortune during “ Home Sweet Home ” week and submitting their entries online .
“ Home Sweet Home Giveaway ” winners are chosen at random . Past grand prize winners include viewers Michael C . of Dayton , Ohio and Audrey K . of Queens , N . Y .
