Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach resident Rhonda Harvey has lived and worked in the Daytona area for many years . She says that Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach was being developed between her work and then home so she drove by the community every day . When she saw the sign go up that said flip flops welcome here , she couldn ’ t resist driving in to check things out and that ’ s how she found her forever home at Latitude Margaritaville .
Rhonda moved to Latitude Margaritaville in 2018 , “ I moved here because of the whole Jimmy Buffett lure and the beach vibe . I wanted activity and engagement with other people . Then , when I moved in , I immediately started to meet people . I was among the very first group that moved in , and we had an unwritten plan to welcome new residents . Four years later , we continue to be welcoming and friendly . Here , there is an intentional aspect to making friends that is reminiscent of small town communities . No one is shy about introducing themselves , and the next thing you know , you are invited to something .”
