Residents donned shot glass necklaces for tastings and carried custom Latitude Margaritaville refillable cups for discounted refills . The signature cups are different each year and have quickly become a highly treasured collectible among residents .
There were Jalapeño Mango Sriracha Margaritas , Berry Margaritas , even Bloody Mary Margaritas and many more delightful variations . A wide variety of tequilas added additional tasting interest and included high potency as well as zero-proof choices . “ The whole day is about fun and celebration ,” says Mona . “ No matter what ’ s in your cup , everyone has fun !”
And what would National Margarita Day at Latitude Margaritaville be without margaritathemed games , live music and dancing ! Everyone gathered at the Latitude Town Center and Town Square for plenty of all three . There were games : margarita-themed Bingo , tequila-song games , a hula hoop contest , catch the lime in the margarita glass , minute-to-win-it margarita glass stacking challenge and more .
This was the third year for the National Margarita Day celebration at Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach , the second for Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head and the very first for Latitude Margaritaville Watersound near Panama City Beach — the newest of the communities . All three communities connected virtually for a jumbo screen group shout out on the big day proving that , if you live at Latitude Margaritaville , you don ’ t have to live within the same community to share great times with great neighbors .
