Still relative newlyweds after three years of marriage , Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach residents Earl and Beth Poor met in Jacksonville , Florida in their former community of Sweetwater , a 55 and older community . “ Beth and I met at the gym many years ago . After about four or five years of passing in the night so to speak we started having a little more communication , and I nervously asked her out . She accepted and we had a coffee chat .”

That chat must have gone very well indeed since , according to Earl , it morphed into a very nice relationship that eventually led to marriage . Earl and Beth decided to start their new life together with a new community . “ We really wanted a community that had a bar , restaurant and everything inside the gates ,” says Earl . Their other prerequisites were to find another 55 plus community , possibly with a theme , good perimeter security , and a gym . They soon learned there could be oh so much more .

“ We started to look around and found Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach ,” says Earl . “ I had seen an ad and said to Beth ‘ Let ’ s just go down .’ We came down , looked and said , ‘ Wow ! This is a very interesting concept .’ It really made our decision easy . We have all of the amenities we want inside the gates . If we don ’ t want to cook , we just mosey up to the Latitude Bar & Chill in our golf cart .” Earl also likes the fact that he can just pop in his golf cart and go through the Latitude Margaritaville tunnel to the Latitude Landings retail center across the street with its Publix , hair salon and other shops .
