A Latitude Margaritaville Community Foundation is established by Minto Communities in each Latitude Margaritaville community . At each new home closing , home buyers donate $ 100 to the Foundation that is matched by Minto . On December 1 , Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach hosted a “ Day of Giving ” celebration and presented 13 local charitable organizations with checks for $ 5,000 each from the Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach Community Foundation . Recipient organizations ranged from Food Brings Hope and Special Olympics Florida to Futures / Take Stock in Children .
Residents also organized and participated in fundraisers for American Cancer Society , the Second Harvest Food Bank , Toys for Tots and more . Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head residents have also participated in fundraisers , ranging from Drink for Pink and Scratch out Cancer benefitting Beaufort Dragon Boats for Cancer , toy drive for Give Kids the World , Community Foundation , Lovable Paws Rescue , and donations to purchase much needed items for Hardeeville Elementary and Middle School students ranging from iPads and earbuds to bedroom furniture and clothing .
