Meet Becky and Jim Entrekin –
“ It was love at first sight !”
Who could have guessed a vacation getaway to Hilton Head Island would lead to a love at first sight encounter with Latitude Margaritaville ? Just that happened to Becky and Jim Entrekin . The couple came upon Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head while they were driving through the area . “ I said , ‘ Wow ! That is cute .’” recalls Becky . “ The sign said 55 plus , and we thought what a great idea ! We stopped and we fell in love with it .” However , they had their sights set on living in the Florida Panhandle area .
As so often with love , fate seemed to be pointing Becky and Jim in the right direction . The Entrekins registered as Latitude Margaritaville Paradise Club members to receive information and updates on the communities , and saw the announcement that a Latitude Margaritaville community was coming to the Florida Panhandle . “ The best thing that happened to us was getting on that sign up list or we would never have known ,” says Becky . “ We are Gulf of Mexico , Panhandle people . We ’ ve been coming here our whole lives .”
“ When we went in the Latitude Margaritaville Watersound models we wanted every one of them ,” says Becky . The Entrekins ultimately selected a Lucia villa home . “ I ’ ve had a few homes in my life , and I ’ ve built a few . My favorite thing in this house is the floor plan ,” says Becky . “ It ’ s perfect . It ’ s a split floor plan with great room and kitchen in the center . Our master suite is at one end and the guest room at the other for added privacy . We have a nice entry hall , and I love that you don ’ t walk right into the house .”
On October 26 , Becky and Jim became the very first new homeowners to close on their home and move into Latitude Margaritaville Watersound . Their closing was a true celebration complete with streamers , a Fins up ! balloon sculpture and champagne . Within days , Becky and Jim had neighbors directly across the street and next door . “ Thanks to social media , we have all met already ,” says Becky . “ We ’ re very happy . We ’ re just living our dream !”
