Jim and Kathleen Cregge really put the “ get away ” into taking a vacation getaway . It was time to consider how and where they wanted to spend the next phase of their lives . Their kids were grown and independent , and , as Jim told Kathleen , “ They aren ’ t coming back .” The Cregges used a series of vacations to check out possibilities ranging from Gulf Shores , Alabama to the Outer Banks .
We looked at homes in regular subdivisions but there was nothing impressive ,” says Jim . Then , in July 2019 , they discovered Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head while driving on Highway 278 and saw the Latitude Margaritaville entrance . “ We saw this magnificent entrance , said we ’ ve got to check this out , and we were ‘ WOW !’”
