LATITUDE MARGARITAVILLE where neighbors Are friends
Ed Dillon moved to Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach from Long Island , New York in 2018 . He celebrated his four-year anniversary of living in paradise this past September after living in New York his entire life and working in construction in New York City for 48 years .

About the time he was nearing retirement , he heard about Latitude Margaritaville . He decided to check it out . “ I took a month and went to Florida ,” he says . “ I looked at Latitude Margaritaville and another dozen developments and Latitude Margaritaville checked all the boxes . It ’ s near the beach , not far from Orlando and it ’ s easy in and out to go back up to New York . It ’ s a great location .” The location also makes it easy for his three daughters and five grandsons to visit . “ They have a really good time ,” says Ed .
As a long-time Jimmy Buffett fan , perhaps it was fated that this New York native would someday migrate to Latitude Margaritaville . The Dillon family members share his love of the singer ’ s happy songs that evoke dreams of island breezes and swaying palm trees , and the unofficial family fan club spans the generations . “ I raised my kids on Buffett and now my grandkids are Jimmy Buffett fans ,” says Ed . “ I still have my vinyl albums .”
