When we enter the fall season , our thoughts usually go to pumpkins , pumpkin pie , pumpkin-spiced lattes and harvest colors of orange , bronze and gold . Not so at Latitude Margaritaville communities — at least not entirely . This October , pretty much everyone at Latitude Margaritaville was thinking pink .
For the entire month of October , Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach , Hilton Head and Watersound residents have been donning pink , hosting events to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month , and participating in the fun by playing with a purpose .
“ I ’ m so proud of the generosity demonstrated by the residents of our communities ,” says Latitude Margaritaville Lifestyle Director Mona Ward . “ Breast cancer has touched all of us in some way and the support for this cause was truly uplifting . It really became hands across the Latitude Margaritaville communities to support local organizations that provide services and support to those diagnosed with breast cancer and their loved ones .”
The Latitude Margaritaville lifestyle team and residents worked together to create fun events so everyone could show their support for the cause while enjoying themselves . “ Our residents most definitely love to play with a purpose ,” says Mona . Events included Real Men Wear Pink and Strike Out Breast Cancer Home Run Derby with the League of Their Own Women ’ s Fins Ball Tournament . For this event , eight teams of ladies each wore spirited outfits representing their team . But there ’ s more … Pink Silent Auction , Pink Bingo , Sink for Pink Cornhole Tournaments , Latitude Pink Warriors Glow Walk , Pink Witches & Warlock Dinner , Pink & Fork at the Latitude Bar & Chill , Bocce for Boobies and the list goes on .
