Mine excursion
The highwall at Elandspruit pit is 45m high. The different
seams are clearly visible in this image. Elandspruit
mines Seam 1 to Seam 5.
At Elandspruit, which produces about 260 000tpm of ROM,
operations are running smoothly. Total production from
Wescoal’s expanded operations, including at Elandspruit, is
between six and eight million tonnes per annum.
