More than 10 thousand statefunded and fee-paying students are studing at PoltNTU. Students acquire knowledge at 6 faculties, such as: Faculty of Oil, Gas and Natural Resources, Electromechanical Faculty, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture Faculty and Faculty of Information Technologies and Systems, as well as the Educational-research Institute of Finance, Economics and Management. The structure PoltNTU includes two colleges: Poltava Oil and Gas College and Myrgorod Art-Industrial M.V. Gogol College. Educational and laboratory base of Poltava National Technical Yuri Kondratyuk University comprises 56 specialized educational and research laboratories, which are equipped with full-scale outfit. Preparation of oil and gas profile specialists at Poltava National Technical Yuri Kondratyuk University began in 1994. The precondition for it was geographical location of Poltava in the center of the North-Eastern region of Ukraine, where up to 80% of all the oil and gas of the country is produced, transported and processed. It is here that are located the leading exploration, drilling, mining, transportation and processing, energy and ecological enterprises, which are constantly in need of highly qualified personnel. These specialists preparation directions are combined at the Oil-Gas and Nature Management Faculty. The leading role in shaping the strategy and development of the Faculty of Oil-Gas and Nature Management plays Rector, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honored Worker of Ukraine, member of the Driller Community of Ukraine, member of the Ukrainian Oil and Gas Academy – Volodymyr Onyshchenko. With his support active cooperation on training specialists in oil and gas industry and strengthening the scientific and laboratory base has been established with: energy company DTEK, NJSC “Nadra Ukrayny”, NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine”. 184 International Exhibition Centre
