BRUNO DA CUNHA
Born in Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal, in 1981.
Lives and works in Oporto.

Faculty of Fine Arts from the University of Porto.
WORK AND CAREER
Bruno da Cunha’s work focuses on the study of
individual and collective catharses, more specifically
on the potential of catharsis in the creative process
and in the artistic object, departing from the work
of reconfiguration of the plastic means, aiming at
presenting the inherent and more fundamental issues
to this research.
Although with a recent path in the field of contempo-
rary art, his artistic and technical abilities have been
developing since 2004, with a distinctive perfor-
mance, by the themes and by the plastic approach
he requires, and for which he has been, throughout
all this time, often requested by several public and
private institutions of high national and international
recognition.
This other, which prefaces ultimately the artist’s
journey up to now, can be seen in different artworks,
among which the following are more significant:
