FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Answers to your questions provided by Veleta.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WET AND A DRY MANICURE
AND WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR MINE?
A wet manicure is a service in which the client soaks their hands in water prior to cuticle pushing
and polish application. During this process, the nails soak up water (like a wet log) and expand.
Over time, your nail expels that water (like the log was drying in the sun) and contracts. When
performing a wet manicure, polish tends to chip of the nail sooner than with a dry manicure.
A dry manicure is one in which the soaking process is eliminated from the service. Because the
nails do not expand and contract from water absorption, the lacquer is more likely to remain
stable.
WHAT CAN I DO IF THE POLISH GETS TOO THICK OR CLUMPS?
Nail polish is thixotropic. This means that when it is agitated or shaken, it will become thinner. If
shaking the bottle does not help, try using a lacquer thinner from your local beauty supply store.
Do not attempt to thin with acetone or polish remover.
CAN I THIN THE POLISH WITH REMOVER?
Use a lacquer thinner. Do not attempt to thin it with acetone or remover.
I LOVE THE BOTTLE. CAN IT BE REFILLED?
At this time, we recommend cleaning the bottle with a cotton swab and
acetone if you’d like to repurpose it.
