WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 24 AND 22KARAT GOLD?
When referring to GOLD KARAT (as opposed to Carat), you are referring to the percentage of
gold present. 24K (24 Karat) is pure gold. 99.999%. 22K gold is an alloy, or mixture of 24K Gold
and Fine Silver. 22K gold is 91.3% gold and 8.6% fine silver. 24K gold is too soft to
make traditional jewelry out of and alloying the metal helps it retain it’s shape.
Therefore alloys such as 22K, 18K, 14K and 10K are used for jewelry production.
DO YOU NEED A TOP COAT OVER THE GOLD LEAF TOP COAT?

MINA ATRAMENTUM is the name of the company that makes MINE Luxury Nail Lacquer. It
means “INK MINE” in Latin.
HOW LONG DOES THE POLISH LAST IN THE BOTTLE?
As long as the inner plastic cap is completely sealed, MINE should last up to 3 years.
ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL STORAGE/CARE “DO’S” AND “DON’TS” FOR THE POLISH?
Try to keep the polish in a stable temperature. If it gets too cold or too hot, allow it to heat or
cool to room temperature before opening.
HOW LONG DOES THE POLISH LAST ON THE NAIL AND WHY?
During our wear tests, MINE tends to stay on the nail longer than a typical manicure. The minerals we use are malleable (soft) and tend to bend with the nail rather than chip off. Also, because
you are using less coats of lacquer, the final lacquer layer is thinner, which also helps to minimize
chipping. However, every hand is different. Some people have oily nails, which do not hold any
polish for more than a few days. There are also variables such as cleanliness of the nail, if the nail
was soaked during the manicure (MINE recommends doing a dry manicure* see next question
regarding dry vs. wet manicures). Also, it depends what your client is doing with their hands, such
washing their hands often, dish washing, etc. The best answer for this is “longer than a typical
manicure.”
