Mind was founded in 1946 as 'The National Association for Mental Health' as an organisation to spread knowledge about the importance of mental health problems and their treatment.
Mind helps to treat people throughout England and Wales and also train train people on the issue of mental health.
Their work has influenced the treatment of mental health issues in society, most notably by campaigning for the Mental Health Bill which stopped empoyers being legally allowed to discriminate based on an employee's mental health.
