House Panel Approves Solid Waste Management Rewrite
Dave Greco • 517-487-8543 • greco @ mimfg . org The House Ways & Means Committee approved a six-bill package to rewrite Part 115 ( Solid Waste Management ) of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act ( NREPA ), which regulates solid waste including coal ash and recyclables . MMA secured significant changes to the bill through months of working with stakeholders and the Department of Environment , Great Lakes , and Energy ( EGLE ), allowing the Association to support this historic revision of solid waste regulations .
