Training Resources and Data Utilization is Vital in Modern Workforce

The Great Resignation has made finding , hiring and retaining top talent even more challenging for Michigan employers . For statewide manufacturers facing this daily struggle , it ’ s vital to utilize every tool available , including human resource services through MMA ’ s relatively new partnership with the American Society of Employers ( ASE ).
Through this partnership , MMA members can now take advantage of ASE training resources at member rates . MMA members also have access to the organization ’ s timely and valuable survey data .

Employee Training Resources Available to MMA Members
ASE has more than 75 unique employee training and development courses available to MMA members at discounted rates . Anyone looking for their HR Certification Institute ( HRCI ) or Society for Human Resources Management ( SHRM ) recertifications can take advantage of training and development courses through the MMA partnership . ASE offers courses for all employees including supervision and leadership courses as well as many personal and professional development courses . Classes are offered both inperson and virtually .

Salary Data You Can Count On
ASE ’ s compensation surveys are now free to any MMA member that participates in the survey . The Michigan Compensation Survey represents the largest collection of employer-reported wage and salary data in the state of Michigan . Last year , more than 300 companies reported on nearly 500 job titles .
Published annually , the extensive survey reports data by employer size , geographic area and industry to help companies track how their wages compare to local market rates .
ASE started conducting compensation surveys in the 1950s . Today ASE Vice President Kevin Marrs leads this important task .
Marrs says member companies appreciate the integrity of ASE ’ s compensation data . He adds , “ We collect this information from companies ’ HR departments instead of crowdsourcing . This helps us to report exactly what ’ s going on in the marketplace .”

MMA and ASE are legacy organizations with both associations celebrating 120 years ! Corrado says ASE ’ s roots run deep in Michigan with roughly 99 percent of members based in the state . It was a natural fit for MMA and ASE to partner and create more value for MMA members .
