Prosper-Tech was launched in 2007 out of the garage of husband-and-wife team Bob and Heidi Devroy . The company has experienced controlled growth since its founding . Having moved out of the garage , they now operate in a 10,000-square-foot facility and have 10 employees .
Starting a few years ago , the Devroys ran into capacity issues as orders exceeded what they could produce during one shift . That is when they decided to invest in a robotic smart machine as an added component to their CNC , which would increase efficiency . The system allows for continuous operation without human intervention which has meant more productivity in less time .
Since installing the machine , Prosper-Tech has experienced 69 percent revenue growth without having to invest in a new line , and the Devroys have been able to pass cost savings onto their customers . 6
