How many times have you heard me say, it's all about the stories. Think about it, from a young age we are programmed to like them. From the way we are read fairytales as babies, to the first movies we watch, to the stories we listen to from our parents and friends. The right stories get us hooked, and as we grow up, who tell stories to the world each day? Journalists!

So I could not think of anyone better to interview this month than award winning journalist Spanish born Pipo Serrano. There is one thing that makes Pipo stand out from the moment you meet him, and that is undoubtedly his incredible voice. I like to call it the million dollar voice! Consider him the Spanish version of James Earl Jones or James Stewart

For those who are not familiar with Pipo Serrano, he is a Spanish journalist (Radio, Television and Digital Journalism), who has directed strategies and digital transformations in large newsrooms and media, incorporating in them new narratives and digital coverage, in addition to Mobile Journalism (MoJo), of which he is one of the pioneers in Spain. For all this, he was recognized by the "European Digital Mindset Awards 2018" with the "Best Journalistic Work on Digital Transformation" award. Dynamics and experience that he has also applied in projects with numerous companies from other areas.

After many years directing and sub directing numerous radio and television spaces, in recent times, his media presence is linked to his extensive knowledge of the digital universe. This has led him to participate as a speaker in various conferences related to digital issues, in addition to presenting and moderating recognized sessions at the MWC (mWeek, DFS, Congress Talks, BDT, mLunch), MojoCon, and Smart City World Expo to name a few.

Author of 2 books on digital transformation and MoJo, at an academic level, he is a professor of "Digital Journalism" in the "Master of Journalism Bcn_Ny" of the University of Barcelona and the Columbia School of Journalism. In addition, he is an associate professor at the University of New Haven, for whom he teaches digital journalism to North American students in Barcelona.

Pipo Serrano has been a member of the Governing Board of the Journalists Association of Catalonia since March 2018.
