Not for the fainthearted, Catherine Best’s creations erupt with an energy that flows from a veritable selection of rare gemstones, central to each design and forming the heart of every jewel. One such example, is the Dancing in the Moonlight, ring featuring a magnificent 6.07 Sri Lankan sapphire set in platinum and surrounded by 1.52cts of diamonds. The sapphire sits at the centre of the design, encircled by a quadrangle of platinum and diamonds reflecting and representing the moonlight.

Her search for excellence has led her to work with some of the world’s rarest gemstones from Paraiba tourmalines to the majestic sapphire and the Australian fiery red opals to delicious red ruby.

The unique Caspia necklace, illustrated, has been handmade at the bench and features a highly sort after 31.28 ct Tourmaline gemstone from Mozambique, which is set at the heart of the design and entwined with 18kt white and yellow gold, set with 2.613 cts of diamond ribbons

The Sunrise diamond cuff bangle is a unique design, featuring a figure dancing in the rays of the summer sun. Set in 18 carat yellow gold it is meticulously crafted into a flawless cuff, overlaid with yellow gold accents with a diamond sun as a centre piece. The reverse features a delicate hand carved tree with an effortless push button clasp set with a shimmering diamond.

The Dragons Lair II pendent is truly a unique and extravagant work of art, featuring the exceptional 221 ct Yowah Nut opal.
