What is your vision with Seguru?

We intend to educate our users towards a safer digital experience, giving them the freedom to control the release of their personal information on the internet. As the world of cyber security continues to change and evolve, we plan to always think ahead and continue to provide our users, employees, and investors with the best, most efficient product.

Seguru has the potential to be more than a tool or application for keeping your information safe online. By offering users the ability to educate themselves about the protection of their personal property and information, Seguru will become a catalyst for the mindfulness movement of technology device users across the world. Consumers typically learn about big business hacks such as Equifax and Yahoo! in the press, and don’t realize that being hacked is as easy as clicking ‘yes’ to the Facebook agreement when you open an account. Seguru plans to first educate while aiming to create a movement, and then to help users deflect or correct potential hacks.

I want to make safety fun, just as a phone case protects the outside of your devices, we act as the protectant of the inside of your devices.

In a way, it's kind of turning you into a hacker yourself, with your own data. Spy on yourself, if you will, because that’s what’s happening. All these governments and corporations are spying on you and yet you don’t know what that means. So when you’re allowed to see what your data does and where it goes, you’re in a position to do something about it.

When we started the Seguru project and were looking at what our phones were communicating with, we were surprised. I’m an expert and I didn’t know my phone was doing this. I didn’t know my phone is communicating with Russia. Or what the hell is in Thailand? Why is my phone talking to Thailand?

And oftentimes it’s because these companies have partners and a lot of it is advertising. A lot of it is tracking you in one way or another, primarily for the purpose of feeding you ads for consumption of whatever products are out there.

I think that we are surprised only because we don’t really know what they’re doing with our data, and once you actually start to understand that, then you can either accept it or you can choose not to accept it. I want to be able to give people the ability to say yes or no

Final question Ralph, what’s your passion in this cyber world?

My passion is to focus on what we can do for each other because ultimately the biggest problem in tech security isn’t the technology; it’s the people... By making cyber safety entertaining instead of intimidating, we will be more likely to complete the simple actions that can ward off outside attackers and protect our emails, photos, and other information from becoming public knowledge

Thank you Ralph for this great catch up and I look forward to talking with you again soon

Continue inspiring the world and thank you for keeping our mobile data safe with Seguru!
