Sitting at my laptop I can hear news reports between the songs, a man is talking about the fifth anniversary of the Rana Plaza tragedy where 1134 people lost their lives and more than double that were injured. In one morning families were rent apart by the disaster, and yet here 5 years later it's talked about it like a memory, and not a tragic norm. Some companies have been able to dodge the debts and compensation they owe. However in with the sadness and despair a small spark appeared, people got angry, they looked at our clothing industry and said, no more, this needs to change, we can't go on like this.

Has there been change, yes, but not enough, across nearly all of the fashion industry far more could and should be done. It's not all doom and gloom though, in that 5 years we have seen perhaps the real birth of ethical fashion and it's been really interesting to watch.
