Where do you draw your inspiration from?

I love antiquities and am an history tragic. Medieval jewellery and objects are a particular passion. You will often find me wandering around the British Museum with my sketchbook in hand. I also take my inspiration from nature. Colour and combinations of colour are also very important to me. I am a gemologist, and use my knowledge to combine beautiful precious and semi precious stones with silver and gold to create that truly unique piece.

Many of the concepts I am working on are based on historical fact and folklore. I am currently working on a ‘Siren” series which I am really excited about. As I spend many hours crafting that individual piece, I think it’s important that each creation has a story to tell and is not just a decorative adornment .

What’s it like to see someone in the press or on the street wearing one of your creations?

It’s actually quite thrilling. Naturally I am drawn to what jewellery people are wearing, and when I see my pieces worn it’s very very rewarding. I think, wow that looks really amazing.

What are upcoming trends in the jewelry design industry?

The return for the handcrafted, unique and bespoke in accessories. I have noticed there has been a steady rise in popularity from the younger market for traditional services, especially in the jewellery industry for that special 18 th -21st birthday, engagement gift, wedding ring.

Consumers are now in the search for the unique. Our Custom service allows my clients to be involved with the design process and create a treasure that is unique to them. Our Made To Order Service is particular popular for wedding atelier, such as engagement and wedding rings.

Clients can meet with me and together we can create a piece that is unique to them and or their loved one.
