We are kicking off 2018 and all over the world there are New Year resolutions happening. One of the most common ones is of course about health and fitness.

Who else has heard the typical “ this is the year! It’s time to go to the gym! blah blah blah, but the excitement wears off by the time end of January arrives… with the power of new tech and a new way of training and connecting I wanted to talk to my buddy Hollywood’s Premier Mind & Body Trainer Chris DiVecchio about the power of online coaching.

Not everyone has the time to get to his or her local gym or hire a local personal trainer due to travel etc. To be accountable, something that is on the rise is online trainers. People who can still deliver a program and hold us accountable to achieve results whether we workout at home, at a gym or on the go whilst traveling.

So let’s get this question answered once and for all! Chris, can online personal training be effective?

I recognize that not everyone has access to top trainers, let alone when those fitness “emergencies” pop up. That’s why I’ve developed a system that allows me to successfully design programs for clients anywhere in the world.

I utilize your preferred method of communication to create an instant “lifeline” to guide you and help answer your questions at a moment’s notice. Consider it your trainer on your hip.

This system lets you ask me any questions that may come up throughout the day. Imagine a last-minute business lunch at a restaurant you are not familiar with. Not a problem — simply send me a picture of the menu and I’ll build your meal and send it back within minutes. Can’t remember how to perform a certain exercise? Text me your question and I’ll respond with a video link showing you the exercise, along with proper form and technique tips.

These types of decisions can make or break your pattern of consistency, which is the key to the success of any program.

Keeping you accountable is what helps make my online training program extremely successful and efficient.

I love this! It’s amazing how things have changed with technology; I don’t think many people would have thought of using an online trainer to answer a question when having last minute lunch at a restaurant! You sure are stepping it up and offering that above and beyond service. Then again, I wouldn’t expect anything less from you.

We also got some questions from our readers that we need to answer! So let’s get to it.

What’s an online personal training coach?

An online coach is very much like an accountability partner. Now it’s not quite as simple as choosing just anyone out there. You must do your research to ensure the coach you select is properly certified, has documented testimonials and most importantly you feel a connection.

Trust and confidentiality are of utmost importance when building this type of relationship. Having this type of transparency allows for a more honest approach without fear of being judged.

The goal is to help identify the patterns/roadblocks so that your coach can help you successfully move past them and start building new habits that produce the results you’re looking for.
