Looking back at how it all started with Glenn Doman and where The Doman team are right now, how do you think Social Media and Technology have impacted the way you communicate with parents?

Social media is wonderful because it allows us to communicate more directly with parents, in fact I have my own Facebook page where I am constantly posting recommendations that I have for parents, tips for parenting, and also information about the events, lectures and courses that are coming up.

I remember my grandfather Glenn saying that he believed that we should use any possible means to communicate with parents — even though social media came about quite late in his life, he realized that any way of getting this information out to parents was essential.

What would you say have been some of the most memorable moments for The Doman Method?

The most memorable moments are the moments that we have in our offices with parents and children — there is nothing like watching a child start to walk for the first time, or crying with parents as they tell you their child said their first words, or sharing in the victories and amazing progress that families have.

For me the best moments are the day to day moments of getting to work with fantastic parents and children, and rejoicing in their achievements.

Here are a few photos of young Paola, a girl with Trisomy 21 doing The Doman Method. She already reads at age 4, speaks and runs. This photos give an idea of what her daily program has looked like.

What is next for The Doman Method?

I love this question, it’s a great question because my grandfather believed is that we should never, never give up on finding answers for children with special needs.
