With all the traveling you to do how do protect your skin?.
I try to drink two litres or more of water a day. Flying loads really dehydrates my skin. When I’m on board a flight I always have a mini hand and face moisturiser and a lip balm. Moisturiser is my skin savior. I find the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Hydration heroes is a great little pack to travel with.
What is you usually morning beauty regime?
Because I have two little ones to get ready in the morning as well as myself, we all jump in the shower together. I wash my face with Elemis gentle foaming facial wash. I try to exfoliate once a week using the Elemis gentle rose exfoliator. I then use Champneys Cloud Nine Indulgent dry body oil to moisture my body and Elemis Pro Collagen marine cream for my face. It’s all a bit of a rush if we are at home as I have to do the school run. When I’m abroad filming the children get ready a little later with a nanny who travels with me, whilst I’m up early getting camera ready.
If someone looked in your hand- bag what beauty products would they find?
I have a pretty small makeup bag that consists of Macs face and body tint, a couple of Mac lipsticks (Velvet Teddy and Ruby Woo.) I have a Make Up Forever concealer, a brown bobby brown brow pencil and eye shadow, a Dior Mascara and a NARS bronzing powder. I also have a tangle teaser hair brush, a mini diptique travel perfume, Elizabeth Arden Eight hour hand cream, a nail file and some teepee dental floss sticks.
There are usually some wet wipes, bits of Lego and some of Tahlia’s hair clips in there too!
Who does you hair and is there a shampoo and conditioner you swear by?
I either go to FOUR London in Conduit street or to my local hairdresser in Purley ‘Alexander’s’. My hair is naturally blonde but because I spend so much time in the sun it goes really light. I like John Frieda’s Sheer Blonde hair products. I’m a little bit addicted to Lee Stafford texture powder too that can give fine hair great texture and volume. Recently I’ve become a fan of the SHOW hair products by Tamara Ecclestone. They smell lovely and the packaging is beautiful so they are nice products to have on display.
What advice would you give to others that find themselves in the winter months feeling tired and run down?
Treat yourself to a massage as often as you can. Or get a manicure and pedicure and have a bright colour! I find doing exercise (even if I’m run down) actually gives me more energy. I enjoy going to David Lloyd in Purley where I can work out in the gym and then relax in the jacuzzi. I know a lot of people who have invested in a light therapy box which emits a bright light and can help anyone suffering from SAD (seasonal affective disorder).
