LM: What is it that they want ?
TS: At a quick glance, a world that abides by Sharia law.
LM: What can people do to make a difference against these factions?
TS: Within their own borders? Be in a state of awareness, "condition yellow". As basic as keeping your eyes open and noticing and reporting suspect activity.
LM: Being a warrior, in every sense of the word, I imagine you have been close to death a few times, were you just very lucky or is death preventable?
TS: The more you place yourself in harms way the greater the chances are of you getting hit. Law of averages. A friend called me last night, he's a Seal Team commander and his close friend and team mate was killed 2 days ago in Yemen during a raid on Al Queda leaders. It's a dangerous world for many out there.
LM: You are a global leader in the fight against human trafficking .... what is the primary reason that this happens .. Money?
TS: Money is always the underlying factor. Criminal enterprises who, in the past, would solely focus on drugs would now, also diversify with human trafficking. It's a highly profitable. Drugs are bought and sold, manufactured or grown and sold. A human is used and used and used and then sold on and on until they are no longer useful. That's the world we find ourselves in.

LM: How are you trying to stop it?
TS: I've had an organization for many years, based in London together with the current commander of intelligence for Scotland Yard. The Mosaic Federation (www.ic3o.org) is focused on aiding law enforcement on an advisory capacity. I've recently taken command of the counter terrorism section the NSA Sheriff GCPS (Global Center for Public Safety) and brought on board a former Seal Team 6 Chief, British SAS and SBS and an Israeli special forces counter terrorism instructor for the training of law enforcement. I'm trying to add a human trafficking division to the GCPS ( http://www.sheriffs.org/GCPS ) and am going in front of its executive board in Washington DC this coming friday.
