Through Red Crayon, Charlotte also made history at the El-Gouna Film Festival (known as the Egyptian Oscars), by becoming the first female director ever to open the shorts part of the festival. She is passionate about bringing awareness to the plight of refugees and works closely with the United Nations and is a part of the UN / UNHCR For Women ensemble.
After receiving further praise from other top international film festivals worldwide, Red Crayon went to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival alongside the UN and was picked up by Emerging Film Talent Association (IEFTA).
