I was once again struck by the seamless production of the show. Models took to the catwalk in designs that were colourful, stylish, and exciting. Young emerging designers, some as young as 14 and 16, others who were more established like Kenny Kas Flanagan and Tamara.
I was struck by the styling and quality of each design that went down the catwalk, the professionalism of all who were involved and the warmth that was displayed by everyone there.
We hear a lot about how cut throat and bitchy the fashion world can be. For many it is like that, but I experienced quite the opposite at ASC. What I experienced was sheer magic, made all the more enjoyable because every little thing had been thought of. Every one there had come to bring something to the show. They left with so much more. Some with contacts, some with buyers, some having made friends, but everyone with knowing they would return.
