It's December! It's countdown to Christmas, countdown to the end of this wonderful 2016 and countdown to new beginnings in 2017!
What a wonderful year it has been! For anyone who does not know...
Back in May this year due to stress, exhaustion and being unemployed, I got seriously ill and had to have complete mind and body rest. I took myself off 6,000 miles away to the sun and switched off for two weeks.
I did nothing but sunbathe, eat and swim! I did not think of one single thing about life. My journey home after two weeks was a different story! I had to think of my next move, my next venture, a change in my life. I had no idea until I stepped on that jet to take me home...At the time I had been for many years designing websites, being a Social Media Manager, a creative artist and being surrounded by inspirational people.
EDITOR'S NOTE
I just decided to read some magazines on my 13-hour journey home! I had my usual Vogue and Elle with me as I love reading the inspirational stories and as I am a lover of luxury brands this suited me for my entire journey home. I have to admit though reading magazines on flights do get a little messy….turning pages while trying to eat and drink, loosing where I was, dropping them on the floor or even trying to hold a magazine was a pain sometimes....
Then something clicked and I had a vision at 35,000 feet...or as they say that 'light bulb moment' went off in my head.
Why don't I create an online magazine full of the inspirational people I know and add in some luxury brands that I am connected with? I could share the people that inspire me and the brands (new and established) that have a story to tell? So my entire 13 hours of my flight home was dedicated to creating my new magazine. What did I call it? Why….’Milli On Air’ of course! 7 months down the line it’s going from strength to strength, I have partners worldwide, UHNWI, Celebrities and inspirational people that want to be in the mag, luxury brands that keep saying ‘yes’!, Investors knocking at my door. A launch party in January and MilliOnAir Inspirational Woman of the Month awards planned for 2017!
So that is my amazing 2016 journey so far!
It has been a dream to work with so many wonderful people.
