Faithful to a tradition that Van Cleef & Arpels holds dear, these princesses rejoin the fairies and ballerinas created by the Maison since the 1940s. Their names are inspired by the divinities of day and night, while their attire recalls dazzling ball dresses. In her dress of polished gold, its star-shaped motifs incrusted with diamonds and yellow sapphires, Danica calmly waits for her dancing partner. Éos holds up the folds of her openwork dress, whose gentle tones combine diamonds with pink and mauve sapphires. Héméra hides behind her fan, wearing a costume that layers a fabric of blue and mauve sapphires over diamond and emerald pleats. Wearing precious shoes, they are adorned with a diadem, a necklace or a fan. With their distinctive poses, costumes and hairstyles, they each represent one of the twelve princesses from the Grimms’ tale.
