MOA: Who do you most admire in the fashion industry?
YM: John Galliano is the one person I most admire in fashion; it is all about what he creates in fashion.
MOA: Please tell us the journey of creating one of your headpieces?
YM: It usually takes me three to five months from an idea in my mind or something that has inspired me, to drawing up the design, gathering the materials and the finished piece. A lot of love, passion and serious hard work goes into the whole process.
MOA: Who, what and where inspires you?
YM: I often get inspired by historical figures in the movies or in real life. Such as when I saw an epic film that follows the life of Alexander the Great, the Macedonian king – it was his headpiece that got me started on one creation.
MOA: What advice would you give to people who would like to follow in similar footsteps to you?
YM: Whether you are still at school, at university, in the first instance you need to find your true passion in life, once you have realized that passion you need to understand how to work it in your life and business, take it slow and never rush what you believe in. Then you will need to live and breathe everything you are creating 247365.
