Since speaking with JAMIE
SERRUTO for our Back to School
2019 issue (“L OWER S TRESS TO B OOST
S CORES ”), the four-time Millburn
High School class president has
moved up in the political world. In
addition to leading the senior class,
for the next year, he is one of nine
members of the Millburn Board of
Education. Serruto, who turned
18 just before the general election
in November, is said to be the
youngest elected official in the
county, if not the state. Interviewed
on the morning show “Fox &
Friends,” he described himself as
“fiscally conservative, socially
liberal. I consider myself
a moderate.”
