The buyers ofthis Georgian home in South
Orange had aclear concept for the redesign
of their new home that they shared when
their agent at West of Hudson Realty introduced
them to Martina Servos, owner of Lemon Grass
Interior Architecture &Design in Montclair.
“The house was aflip (bought to be resold), and their
request was to make itlook like aboutique hotel,” says
Servos. The mandate gave the designer, who prefers to
be involved in every aspect ofahome’s reinvention, a
green light to transform the generic-looking interior into
aspace that was as whimsical and creative as she wished.
The charming results are on view here.

COZY FAMILYLIVING
(Right) Formerly, the home’s walls were painted the same light blue-gray,
says Servos. Now, the family room opposite the kitchen is bright and
welcoming; it’s an open space where the couple’s two young sons might
watch TV while their parents prepare food. Servos selected all the furniture
and decorative elements for the home, including the framed objets d’art
and the fur-covered wooden chair opposite.
