and patient interactions, even as a dental student, by being awarded
both the Operative Dentistry and the Department of Dental Ecology
Awards of his graduating class at UNC School of Dentistry. Dr. Busby
then completed a post-graduate residency at New England Medical
Center. He was subsequently named a Fellow in the Academy of General
Dentistry in 1996. Dr. Busby’s careful attention to detail in his diagnosis,
treatment planning and execution of a full range of dental services continues today. Patients and staff have been equally impressed with the
thoroughness and excellence of patient care that is the signature of Dr.
Busby’s General Dentistry practice in Short Hills.
Early detection of dental disease and consistent quality treatment is a
hallmark of Busby’s family dental practice. Be it periodontal disease,
dental implants, oral cancer, caries, malocclusion, endodontics or
cosmetic needs, Dr. Busby and his highly qualified, caring staff, perform
careful assessments and treatment for patients of all ages. When
indicated, the newest of diagnostic tests such as low-exposure digital
radiographs and VELscope® (oral cancer detection) are employed. Steve
maintains close working relationships with area specialists when referrals are necessary. Through continuing education courses and teaching at Overlook
Hospital in the Dental Residency program, Dr. Busby advances his interest and skills in the most current theories and treatments of modern dentistry.
