if I’m not willing to learn more.” This quest for knowledge and using it to optimize patient care is what makes Dr. Muench a top dentist.
His research and educational interests center on a comprehensive approach to
dental health involving teeth, muscles, joints and airway/sleep. “Wear on the
teeth, grinding patterns and snoring are related to the airway and sleep,” he
says. TMJ/TMD are not isolated entities; they are entwined with a patient’s
sleep habits.
Dr. Muench explains that repairing tooth breakage or loss and gum recession
without considering the quality of a patient’s bite and sleep patterns may lead
to further dental complications. His goal is to provide patients with long-term
dental stability.
A TMJ patient himself, Dr. Muench says, “I’ve experienced the pain and
frustration patients feel. It’s my mission to apply the same level of skill and
understanding I’ve received. I promise to fulfill that mission.”
He has distinguished himself though advanced education offered by The Pankey
Institute, which fosters excellence in dentistry. Dr. Muench also earned a Master
of the Academy of General Dentistry by completing rigorous continuing education programs.
Dr. Muench, who was raised and lives in Maplewood, is proud to be a part of
the fabric of the community.

dentistry over twenty years ago and has never regretted his decision.
“Throughout my career, I have always enjoyed treating children. When I
became a father, I realized that I had an opportunity to care for patients
where I could focus on prevention as the most ideal form of treatment.”
The practice’s patient base ranges from newborns to college students, along
with all patients with special needs. The reason for Dr. Bayroff’s widespread
appeal is simple. “I talk to my patients on their level. They understand
exactly what I am going to do and why,” notes the board-certified pediatric
dentist. He is keenly aware that teaching his patients about proper dental
care will have a positive impact on their overall healthcare.
Dr.Bayroff is affiliated with Overlook Medical Center in Summit and
volunteers in the dental clinic there teaching and mentoring dental
residents. He also utilizes the Same Day Surgery facility at the hospital to
treat patients who require dental care with general anesthesia.
“I’ve been fortunate to maintain my pediatric dental specialty practice for
nearly 20 years due to a dedicated staff and loyal patients and their
families.” He cites some of the best highlights of his career as “treating the
children of one of my former patients” as well as “the long-term
relationships with patients I have treated as three-year-olds who have
continued with me through college.”
