With its focus on
breathing and staying in the
moment, yoga can be especially beneficial for stressedout, perpetually busy adolescents.
Recognizing this, the owners of ALIGN WELLNESS
STUDIO began offering tween yoga last January.
Tara Roscioli, one of the owners, describes it as “a fun,
interactive class for boys and girls ages 10-13.”
Borrowing from different yoga disciplines, the
hour-long class focuses on strength and balance; partner
poses are incorporated as a way of addressing trust issues.
The program runs six weeks and costs $120; drop-ins are
welcome for a $25 fee.
