WORKSHOP
To separate the adult and kids ’ aesthetics , Harris-Ralffcreated a space designated as “ Santa ’ s workshop ” — where , as she says with alaugh , it looks like “ Christmas exploded in one room .” In this closeup and in the photo opposite , there ’ s room for the client ’ s collection of seasonal memorabilia . “ I asked her , ‘ How many binsdo you have ?’” says Harris-Ralff . “ She said ‘ I have 30 . I ’ vebeen collecting since high school .’” Cherished items include colored lights , stuffed Santas and snowmen , and , ofcourse , an elf on the shelf . ■
