The window treatments , she says , are never closed because “ the windows are the stars .” Her clients love lighting , she says , and directed her to bring them “ the most dramatic , fabulous lights . They ’ re the jewelry of the room .” The chandelier is from Arteriors Lighting ; the grass cloth wallpaper is from Phillip Jeffries . Spilled wine wipes off easily due to the Crypton fabric covering the chairs .
EAT-IN-KITCHEN ALTERNATIVE
The “ control center ” of the home , the kitchen includes a discreet area for more intimate dining where the family of five takes most of their meals . The chandelier is by Made Goods and available through HR Designs , says Harris-Ralff . Fresh hydrangeas , the favorite flower of the homeowner , provide a centerpiece . Artificial garlands line the railing leading down to the basement playroom . The Christmas tree in the family room can be seen to the left ; this one sports home-made ornaments and colored lights .
