GAELIC STORM RECREATES AN
“IRISH PARTY” VIBE AT SOPAC
NOVEMBER
22
8 P.M.
If you’ve seen the film Titanic – and chances are
overwhelming that you have – you were probably
charmed by the scene in which the lead characters dance to Irish
music in the ship’s Third Class. As part of its 2019 tour, the band
that performed the music on film, Gaelic Storm, plays it live to
South Orange Performing Arts Center audiences, along with
selections from their latest release, Go Climb a Tree. The group has
traveled far, literally and in terms of experience, since launching as
a bar band in Santa Monica, Calif. in the mid-’90s. During the
past 20 years, they’ve topped the Billboard World Chart six times
and headlined the largest Irish festivals in the country. • Tickets
$35-$48. 1 SOPAC Way, (973) 313-2787, sopacnow.org

CINDERELLA – THE MUSICAL TO
OPEN AT PAPER MILL PLAYHOUSE
The Tony-nominated Broadway adaptation of the classic children’s
story features gorgeous melodies including “In my own Little
Corner,” “Impossible/It’s Possible” and “Ten Minutes Ago.” That’s
not surprising, considering that its origins are in a musical original-
ly written for television by Rodgers and Hammerstein, and later
performed on stage. Cinderella – The Musical runs at Paper Mill
Playhouse from Nov. 20 to Dec. 29. • For ticket prices and more
information, go to papermill.org/show/cinderella. 22 Brookside
