If you’ve seen the film Titanic – and chances are overwhelming that you have – you were probably charmed by the scene in which the lead characters dance to Irish music in the ship’s Third Class. As part of its 2019 tour, the band that performed the music on film, Gaelic Storm, plays it live to South Orange Performing Arts Center audiences, along with selections from their latest release, Go Climb a Tree. The group has traveled far, literally and in terms of experience, since launching as a bar band in Santa Monica, Calif. in the mid-’90s. During the past 20 years, they’ve topped the Billboard World Chart six times and headlined the largest Irish festivals in the country. • Tickets $35-$48. 1 SOPAC Way, (973) 313-2787, sopacnow.org Short Hills NATIONAL TAKE A HIKE DAY, WITH CIDER NOVEMBER 17 2:30 P.M. Cinderella – The Musical runs at Paper Mill Playhouse from Nov. 20 to Dec. 29. • For ticket prices and more information, go to papermill.org/show/cinderella. 22 Brookside Drive, (973) 376-4343. 8 HOLIDAY 2019 MILLBURN & SHORT HILLS MAGAZINE MICHAEL ARAM POP-UP STORE OPENS IN SHORT HILLS Artist Michael Aram was so heavily influenced by a 1989 trip to India, with its rich metal-working tradi- tions, that he set up a workshop in New Delhi.
