ack Travel b w s! in time it hi h ves u The Record Archives 1967 Long-term graduates of Millburn High School will remember this Peace on Earth motif that was painted on classroom windows around the holidays. Norman Russell, MHS ’68, created a poster from the image and shared it with former classmates at their 50th high school reunion. “The message of peace of course resonated greatly in those years, as the Vietnam War grew and grew until peaking in that tumultuous year of 1968,” says Russell. “Little did we know when that window was painted by my classmates that in less than six months, Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy would be gone.” We understand that displaying the artwork became a yearly tradition at Millburn High. Does anyone know when it was discontinued?
