and lunch, for good reason

ost restaurant reviews tend to focus on
dinner, which is not an option at Jackie
& Son. Only breakfast, lunch and
coffee-time baked goods are served.
Owner-chef Jackie Podhurst, who grew
up in a restaurant family, opted not to
serve dinner at her restaurant so she could spend more
time with her young son.
Nevertheless, I had heard a lot of buzz about this
charming cafe, and the large number of diners during a
late lunch on a rainy day proved its popularity: Her
flavorful Mediterranean fare is absolutely worth a visit.
