home BACK TO THE SOURCE Saeed says that she wanted the home to reflect her family’s origins. With that goal in mind, she used reclaimed wood from a farm in Missouri, where her husband grew up, to sheath the support beam and to create the shelving in the kitchen, which was completely gutted and rebuilt. The cabinets are from Canistoga Cabinets in Pennsylvania, Saeed’s home state. Built-ins on both sides of the Quartz-topped island store pots and service ware. The upholstered seats from West Elm swivel and are easily cleaned. (Top) The dresser, globes and maps in the eating area are all vintage, as is the ‘50s-era light fixture from One Kings Lane.
