OVERLOOK MEDICAL CENTER ONE OF 100 GREAT COMMUNITY HOSPITALS
Becker ’ s Healthcare , a source of business and legal information for healthcare industry leaders , recently named Overlook Medical Center one of its 100 Great Community Hospitals for 2018 ; Overlook was the only New Jersey hospital to make the list . On its website , beckershospitalreview . com , the company noted that “ The hospital is actively involved in population health initiatives , and it operates the Healthy Avenues Van , a mobile medical unit serving 21 towns . Its community health department educated 8,280 people and performed 1,609 screenings in 2017 . The Leapfrog Group gave Overlook an ‘ A ’ grade safety score in spring 2018 , and Practice Greenhealth named it a Top 25 Environmental Excellence Award recipient .”

AMUSIC STUDENT ON AND OFF THE STAGE
Sixth-grader JACK SUAREZ KIMMEL knows how to study upand be prepared . The 11-year-old , who attends religious school at Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel in South Orange , where his mother teaches , just completed a sixmonth tour as acast member of the national touring company of School of Rock — The Musical . Kimmel was a swing , an actor who has to be ready to play any one of multiple roles if the situation calls for it — ifthe child cast in a particular role falls ill , for example . Appropriately enough , IRL Kimmel studies guitar at the School of Rock in Montclair , and heard about open auditions for the show through a fellow student . In addition to the guitar , Kimmel plays electric bass , upright bass and the drums ; cast members played live instruments on stage , with no backing tracks .
