Most people have trouble smoothing out hard to reach areas, like the crown or the nape ofthe neck. Florida, her small shop enables her and her team of three stylists to give clients personal attention. She wanted it to be“ an intimate setting in which people are treated as individuals and Ican really get to know them. At a large, bustling salon, you’ re just another head.” To up the convenience factor, Artist Hair Bar offers online booking, welcomes walk-ins and stays open until 8 p. m. on Thursdays and Fridays. The salon is also open Sundays and will open early if a client needs a blowout before heading to work.“ I went to get ablowout before an important work meeting and the stylist was very attentive,” says Aarti Bajaj, a data quality manager for a financial bank.“ She understood right away the kind of professional look I wanted – smooth and straight – as opposed to an evening party look with a lot of curls.
