BRIAN KOO, DDS SAYS, “I TAKE A LOT OF PRIDE IN PROVIDING A GENTLE
TOUCH AND PAINLESS INJECTION FOR MY PATIENTS, BUT IT’S THE UNNO-
TICED DETAILS I STRIVE TO PERFECT DURING THE OTHER 90% OF TREAT-
MENT THAT I FIND MOST SELF-REWARDING.” Dr. Koo joined Dental
Artistry of Livingston several years ago. The founder of the practice,
Howard Ehrenkranz, DMD, whom Dr. Koo calls a mentor and a
friend has since retired. Dr. Koo feels blessed to work together with a network of extremely
skilled specialists in the area. This is of paramount importance to Dr.
Koo to keep abreast of all advances in treatment protocols and dental
technology, certainly for professional growth, but most importantly to
benefit his patients. He is also humbled by their confidence in entrust-
ing the many complex and cosmetic cases that are referred to him by
them.
It is Dr. Koo’s goal to continue the high standards established by Dr.
Ehrenkranz. Dental Artistry is a full-service family practice that offers
preventive, restorative, aesthetic and implant dentistry to adults and
children. He and his staff adhere to a straightforward mission: to serve
patients in a caring manner to the highest professional standards with
an emphasis on prevention and exceptional restorative treatment. “Dentistry is artistry and nature,” he notes. “It’s not about drilling,
it’s about sculpting.” Dr. Koo enjoys what he calls “everyday mainte-
nance dentistry” but takes special pride, though, in full-mouth recon-
struction and cosmetic dentistry, where science, artistry and aesthetics
come into play. “It is a true blend of art, science and precision.”
Dr. Koo is committed to providing information that helps each patient
to make informed decisions about their oral health needs. His drive to
perfection is evident in the customized treatment options, down to the
recommendations about which toothpaste and mouthwash to use, and
which foods to avoid.
Dr. Koo earned his dental degree from Columbia University School
of Dental and Oral Surgery. He completed a residency, with a focus
on cosmetic dentistry, at Columbia University Presbyterian Hospital.
He is also a graduate and mentor of the prestigious Kois Center, a
premiere clinical continuing education program that uses technologi-
cal teaching modalities to present advances in aesthetics, implant and
restorative dentistry. He’s been selected as one of the state’s Top
Dentists by publications such as Millburn-Short Hills Magazine, New
Jersey Monthly and A Guide to America’s Top Dentists.
Longevity is key, both in terms of the durability of a procedure and
developing a long-term relationship with each patient. “When several
treatment methods are available, the patient can be sure I will review
and explain each option so that we can together find the best solution “I want to be proud of the results I achieve,” says Dr. Koo, “and for
that is right for them.”
each patient to smile with confidence.”
