If you register for a class , course requirement , or electives that you have previously successfully completed at another school ( this includes having taken courses that could count as electives on the degree program you are enrolled in ), it will not be certified for VA purposes .
Transfer Credit including Military Transcripts
Students receiving VA education benefits are required to submit their college transcripts / military credits no later than the end of their first semester . All students need to meet with a Military & Veterans Services Advisor to determine the process for verification of credits and how those credits are applied to their educational goals . College Credit Placement Testing
Degree-seeking students are required to present test scores from a common placement test or meet placement testing exemption status prior to registering for classes . • Florida Postsecondary Education Readiness Test ( PERT )
• SAT
• ACT
• ACCUPLACER Next Generation ( NG )
Qualify for an exemption from placement testing under Florida Statute 1008.30 , which removes the placement testing requirement for students who entered 9th grade in a Florida public school in the 2003-2004 school year or later AND graduated from a Florida public high school with a standard high school diploma , OR those who serve as an active-duty member of any branch of the United States Armed Services .

If you have prior college , provide your official college transcript indicating completion of an Associate in Arts or an Associate in Science degree or higher ; or completion of college level English or math with a “ C ” or better from a U . S . regionally accredited institution . Placement of transfer students will be based on the official evaluation of credit earned at previous colleges ; testing may be required based on that evaluation .
Developmental Education Courses – ( REAV , ENCV , MATV ) The VA will pay benefits for face-to-face preparatory classes ; only when the need for training has been established by the accepted testing method . Developmental courses taken online cannot be approved and cannot be certified to VA . The VA will not cover developmental / remedial courses if the student is eligible for exemption .
