Ultimately, along with a clear writing style, the
strengths of this book are Malkasian’s deep understanding of both sides of the insurgency, and his willingness to draw larger conclusions from his experience
in Garmser. It is not too soon to consider this a classic.
War Comes to Garmser is very highly recommended.
