Farewell Colonel Friederich-Maggard

Retiring after 31 Years of Military Service
The Military Review staff reluctantly bids farewell to the director of the Army Press and the editor in chief
of Military Review, Col. Anna Friederich-Maggard. After nearly three years in this assignment and more than
thirty-one years of military service, Col. Friederich-Maggard is retiring from the Army.
As our editor in chief, she was passionate, creative, and innovative. She continuously sought ways to improve the journal’s content and readability. And, as our director, she provided professional, caring, and compassionate leadership.
During her tenure, Col. Friederich-Maggard oversaw significant improvements to Military Review, including the W6R
