Col. Val Keaveny is serving as the 101st Airborne Division’s chief of staff. He was the last brigade commander for the
4th Brigade Combat Team (506th Infantry Regiment), 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) before its inactivation. He commanded 3rd Battalion, 509th Infantry Regiment in Iraq. He holds a B.S. in aviation management/
flight technology from Florida Institute of Technology, an M.M.A.S. from the U.S. Army Command and General
Staff College, and an M.S.S. from the U.S. Army War College.
Col. Lance Oskey is a student at the Army War College. He served as the deputy brigade commander for the 4th
Brigade Combat Team (506th Infantry Regiment). He commanded 2nd Battalion, 54th Infantry Regiment (One
Station Unit Training) at Fort Benning, Ga. He holds a B.A. in business finance from California University of
Pennsylvania, and an M.S. in international relations from Troy State University.
